A SPECIAL REVIEW RECEIVED FROM A READER IN CHICAGO:

More, more, more!!!!!! I just finished reading One Last Time... WOW! I am from the Chicago area and related to this book on many levels. I lost my mom to lupus on July 1st. She left me behind, my 2 sisters and our children. I have been searching ever since for comfort and reassurance she is still with me.

Coincidentally, my husband booked just the two of us on a Caribbean cruise for this Spring. He hoped it would lift my spirits a bit. This booked took me away...transported me. It was filled with humor that I could relate to, making it so enjoyable.

The characters could not have been better written, the exotic locations not better described. However, most of all thank you for such a beautiful story of strength and courage intertwined with an outlook I so desperately was seeking. I now will look at the "little clues and signs" differently... with belief and reassurance I have not been left behind.

You are truly talented and cannot wait to read more. I BEG you to continue a story with Jack and Jenna!!!! Does she go off to Barbados... maybe he whisks her away after the wedding? I have to know!!!! What happens to Alana, Todd and Matt!!!??? They have to be mentioned somewhere in there too!!

I must go for now, I am off to read The Best Man... Oppps... gotta run... final boarding call! I can't wait to "board" this book... off to Hawaii! Aloha!

Best wishes, support and thanks,

ANOTHER LETTER RECEIVED AFTER READER WAS SENT A NOTE:

Dear Alisa,
Thank you so much for your reply!!!! You are so welcome, I meant every word. I just finished both The Best Man and Angel Mist... FABULOUS!!!!!

You have a real talent that you use wonderfully! These stories are all so different, yet all have the ability to transport me to another place. I find myself letting myself go... truly... while reading these stories. I have enjoyed your books more than any others I have read... and I read a lot! The characters personalities are so true to life and each unique. You have a wonderful gift in making them connect with the reader.

I find myself starting to freak out as I am nearing the end of the collection that is out right now!!! MORE PLEASE... MORE!

I have ordered the rest of your books that my book club did not have, and I have e-mailed them to insist they get the entire collection! I am waiting for: Winds of Change, After Midnight, Beyond The Horizon.

I am anxiously awaiting my next "experience"! Can't wait to see who I meet, what they will be like and of course, the location! I can feel the balmy breeze gently against my face now....

You may use any of my comments or statements word for word, thank you for that honor! If you want to post my name, that is fine, or if I can help in any way to "get the word out", please let me know. I would be thrilled to see you get the credit you deserve.

Thank you for your magic!

 NOTE FROM ALISA ALLAN

I wanted these letter's from Heather here not because they are such raving reviews, that certainly doesn't hurt, but I wanted them here because they 'touched' me just as my words touched her. For me, they validated me as a writer with the ability to have such a profound effect. To give her just a little comfort in a time she needed it.

I also wanted to comment to the many readers who, like Heather, are looking for Jack and Jenna's story, that I'm hoping it will be released before the end of the year. When I created those two I knew they needed their own story and you'll be happy to know they will star in their own title soon!

I thank Heather tremendously for her kind words and support, and I thank all the readers who have enjoyed my stories and sent in your kind words as well.

Safe Travels,
Alisa Allan

WINDS OF CHANGE

Winds Of Change was a beautiful story.  It made me want to travel to the coast as I laughed, cried and cheered at the evolvement of the characters.

Very well written, the characters dialogue moved me along, the way writing is supposed to be done but is done very little in other books. This book was master at it and I want to go to Bermuda now.
Submitted by: K.I. - Florida

Really, really enjoyed it. A story that kept me reading until the very last page.
Submitted by: L.L. - Tennessee

I couldn't put it down for two days while on vacation. We went to see the sights and I made my sister drive so I could read! Then sat on a bench while they walked around, it was the first time in a long time I had a book I literally couldn't put down. Submitted by: G.R. - Florida

Loved it! One of the best I've read in a long time, can't wait to read more. Submitted by: E.W. - Colorado

It kept me reading until the very last page, there were no slow spots that made me want to take a break. I read quite a bit and I can't remember the last book I enjoyed so much. Alisa Allan will definately be one of my favorite authors from now on. Submitted by: E.C. - Maryland

I didn't know what was going to happen all the way to the end, it kept me wondering and turning the next page. I enjoyed it a great deal. Submitted by: J.W. - Maryland

It was so good. I think they should make a movie, I think it would be an awesome movie. I love Carter. Submitted by: C.G. - Maryland

Unpredictable. Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen, something else happened and it kept me in suspense and wanting more after every turn of the page. It was great and I read it twice. Submitted by: T.C. - North Carolina

It's been a long time since I've read something that kept me up till the wee hours of the morning. Was forced to put it down to get SOME sleep, but when I woke, the first thing I thought about when I saw it was... 'What's going on now?'. Then lay in bed till early afternoon so I could finish. Submitted by: D.M. - Minnesota

I have recently read all 3 of Alisa Allan's books . She's a delightful author who captures her characters and makes you feel like you are on the trip with them. Details are accurate as they relate to the ports or cruise ships and the stories are very entertaining. I hope to enjoy many more to come. Submitted by: L.R. - Massachusetts

 AFTER MIDNIGHT

Alisa Allan's novel pulled me in and swept me away with the characters as they fell in love.  I was on the edge of my seat until the last page. Submitted by: Laurie B. - Caledonia, Ontario, Canada

A different storyline, one I'd never seen before, which made for a great read. Like the first, this too was unpredictable and I couldn't wait to get to the next page. Submitted by: W.R. - FL

I thought I knew what was going to happen, then I didn't think it could happen, had me wondering till the end. Submitted by: C.G. - Maryland

As with the last, Winds Of Change, I fell in love with the characters. I came to know these people and didn't want it to end. After I finished, I still thought about them. Submitted by: A.N. -
Virginia

After reading about the Mexican Riviera in this story, I'm considering it for a honeymoon now, as well as a cruise which I've never been on. I loved reading about the places in such a way that was so entertaining, unlike a factual travel book. I feel I'll be more prepared when I go. I haven't read the first book yet though, maybe when I do my honeymoon will be in Bermuda. Then again, honeymoon isn't until next year so I'll have time to read them all and then decide.

I loved Winds Of Change and didn't think the second book could top it, but to my surprise, I thought it did. After Midnight is now my favorite so far, though it's still early with more books to come. I didn't want to wait one day longer than necessary for the next, so I've already pre-ordered The Best Man and will do so with the rest until I read them all! One good thing about this author is that she isn't going to make us wait every couple of years for a new book, and she is now ranked at the top of my list which includes authors such as Nora Roberts, Sandra Brown, Danielle Steel, and all the other top names. Just my own personal opinion, but I got tired of purchasing books that I didn't know were reprints, books I'd read years ago. This fresh new author now has my full attention.

 THE BEST MAN

This was my favorite so far, they just keep getting better. Submitted by: K.W. - Maryland

Per Alisa Allan's usual style, it was unpredictable and kept my fingers on every page edge, waiting to turn. Submitted by: T.E. - North Carolina

The Hawaiian islands was a wonderful scene for this honeymoon gone haywire. I laughed as I pictured this woman in my mind running like a crazed woman through Vegas and then Hawaii looking to drag someone along. And I love the way she doesn't use or need graphic bed scenes to describe what's going on. Submitted by: A.T. - Minnesota

Truly a great read. There were those 'Oh No' parts where I couldn't believe what was happening. The situations seem impossible to overcome and yet there are no far fetched plot schemes to force it to work. Everything that happens fits and is all real and believable. Submitted by: G.M. - South Carolina

I'd almost given up hope things would work out, and I'm not going to say they do for those that haven't read it, but it sure makes you wonder just how it's going to work out. But like all others, there's that little twist you don't expect that keeps you gripped until you're done. Submitted by: E.O. - Washington, D.C.

Easy, light reading. Just the kind of books I need for entertainment, especially when I travel. Took the first two on a cruise with me, now I have to make plans to cruise Hawaii. Submitted by: M.S. - North Carolina

Just finished it. Loved the surprise ending. Alisa's books keep my interest; I can't put them down till finished. I can't wait for the next one to come out. I have already preordered it and will all of them. Her writing makes you love the characters and want things to work out their way but the twists and turns in their lives and the story line keeps you wondering so you can't wait to get to the end of the book to see how it all turns out. Submitted by: J.V. - Virginia

 BEYOND THE HORIZON

I've been where Maggie, the main character, has been, and so have my friends. It made reading this book that much better. The author's characters failed to disappoint me and just like her other books I felt as though they were my friends too. Submitted by: K.R. - California

Her surprises when you get towards the end never fail to amuse and make me aggravated at the same time. Just when I think things are coming to a close they unexpectedly don't. Alisa Allan keeps me on the edge. Submitted by: A.S. - Nevada

Such a fun read. I shared it with my own girlfriends. Submitted by: D.W. - Delaware

The three women in this story can be any three women we all know. And their storyline becomes real and not far fetched. With all of the novels and storylines out there, sometimes it's like reading the same thing except by a different author, but not with Alisa Allan's books. They are fresh and without predictable pages. Submitted by: T.E. - Maryland

This author truly knows how to weave a tale and keep us turning the pages. Submitted by: S.L. - Arkansas

I loved this book as I did the previous three. I stayed up till 3:00 in the morning to finish the book because I couldn't put it down. The characters are so interesting and I stayed on edge wondering what would happen next. Great book. Great author. Submitted by: J.V. - Virginia

 ONE LAST TIME

A couple of shockers came up and forced me to hang on. Sat down and read in two sessions, only put it down because of work. Submitted by: L.C. - Seattle

The grandmother character in this was a hoot. I find in all your books I love the secondary characters as well as the leads. Submitted by: M.B. - Virginia

6 books in 6 months and I expected cookie cutter stuff. But each one is different and leaves me in suspense every time because I know there's going to be a twist. I try to prepare myself but I never am. Please... please... please... come out with more. Submitted by: J.W. - Maryland

This book not only made you think about how truly blessed we are to be here on Earth but how we should live everyday like it's our last. This book was AWESOME!! I would recommend this to anyone who has had one of those days where you just want to crawl under the covers and forget the world, forget your problems. It showed me how to really live life and not just pass it by. I LOVED this book!!
M.C. - North Carolina

Being more a suspense reader, I didn't think I'd like this book. My sister gave it to me and told me I had to take it on my cruise and read it, so I did. I can't thank her enough and now she has 'I told you so' rights to hang over my head. I sailed to some of the islands in the story and I sat on my balcony in anticipation as I read about them. A first time cruiser and a first time reader of Alisa Allan books but it won't be the last for either. I'm getting all of them so I can figure out where I want to sail next. Even if my feet don't leave the dock I can at least read about it.

 ANGEL MIST

This book should come with a few boxes of tissue. I passed it on to a few friends who are now avid fans but they're going to have to go out and get their own set. I won't part with mine.
Submitted by: L.B. - Canada

I didn't want to start this book because I knew it would be my last and I wanted to savor it, knowing I wouldn't have another Alisa Allan to read. All of her stories have taken me through the summer and I've read every one with anticipation. I discovered after reading the first three they were anything but predictable. Thank you so much for filling my summer and I'll cross my fingers but I know I'm aiming high to think that you'll have six more so soon. Who knows, you do seem full of surprises, we can only hope. Submitted by: A.O. - Mississippi

I was on the beach reading and was grateful for my sunglasses when the tears came. I'm not a reader who cries often but this one got me. Loved each book!
Submitted by: C.B. - NY

I've been on a cruise to Alaska and it was so nice to go back again in this story. My mother now wants to go so we'll probably plan a trip. This is the first one I've read, I only discovered Alisa Allan by accident when I saw a woman on the beach with one of her books and overheard her talking to a friend about them. Tired of being disappointed when I've purchased from the Bestseller Lists because I thought surely they must be good, I immediately went out to get one of these and am now hooked. Submitted by: J.S. - Arizona

After reading all six I thought a favorite would be clear. They were all filled with such diverse characters and different storylines that I can't decide. All of them made me laugh and cry. I'm anxious for more! Submitted by: M.T. - Arkansas
